Zunilito, Guatemala July 2015

1.  Trip is over
I'm sitting in the Denver airport waiting for a flight to Bakersfield, so the trip is over.  We had a successful installation at the Jesus Salve (Jresus Saves) Church. After the installation is over we offer to match them bottle for bottle if they want to but brand new 5 gallon jugs (garafones). The church bought 100 and we matched 100, so by now there are 200 garafones (1000 gallons) full of pure water beingdistributed to the community.

2.  "Best laid plans of mice & men"
On the first day of the trip I had planned to document it here in my travel blog, but due to a tin of technological probelms, glitches, intermittent service etc. all I got was one entry and the picture of me and the lizard.  If you are on this blog you probably already saw the stuff on facebook about the trip.  If you haven;t already find Living Water World Missions on facebook and become their freind.  There is a lot of postings about this weeks trips and prior trips.  GO LOOK

Since I didn't post to this log on a daily basis as planned I will try to up date it.

3.  Pictures
I will post of few pictures of the trip here

Zunilito Guatemala

Living Water World Missions is back in Guatemala for out July 2015 installation trip. Today is our third day in country and our second day at the church, Jesus Salve (Jesus Saves) which is part of the Presbyterian Central American (CAM) group.
The installation team is making good progress and is right on schedule even though they are also building a sand filter.
The education team had a great first day yesterday. In the morning we taught the teachers the 1st day program "germs are everywhere" and in the afternoon the teachers taught the faith based health program to nearly 200 kids from the Compassion International program. We also had a lot of Moms present who were there by special invitation, so that was good.
It had been hot and humid with thunderstorms every afternoon. I look forward to the storms because they take the edge off the heat some what.
Time to get up and get ready for day two.
