Singapore- Coffee

I am staying with my nephew Reid and his wife, Susanna while in Singapore.  They don't drink coffee, so every morning I trek off to hunt down my daily cuppa.  The Hougang Mall 1 is the closest so I go to their hawker center/food court for my coffee.  I always take it back to Reid's flat so I get "1 take away coffee with milk", AKA "white coffee".  There seem to be no creamers here, if you want milk or creme, they do it for you and call it white coffee, actually they don't call it coffee, here it is kopi.

The days that my sister wants coffee I go to McDonald's, the local stuff is too strong for her.  They have regular looking little coffee cup sized plastic bags for take away.

When I go to local coffee booth, Kopitiam, this is the "take away" holder they use. A cute little sling looking thing  that is specially made to carry cups. Are they trying to be greener and not use a bag?

My Kopitiam booth also sells soft boiled eggs.  Wow, I haven't seen these since I was 8 years old and my grand mother made them for me!  I never did care for them much.  I was eating dinner a few nights ago when a man sat down next to me with two eggs, broke them open and put them in a bowl.  I thought OMG, those are soft boiled eggs and he is eating them for dinner.  It wasn't until the next morning I realized that my coffee booth sold them.

The main entrance to Kopitiam Coffee Shop, or
what I call "my entrance".

My coffee booth.  See that puff of stream on the left side?
They also sell Dim Sum 24/7.  I tried to buy some dim sum for breakfast a few days ago, but what they had didn't seem like breakfast food to me, even though Chinese people were lining up.

I bought some coffee this afternoon but drank it there.  Yes I spilled some on the way to find a table.  Good thing they gave
me a saucer!
