Singapore- A Quick trip to the Popular Bookstore

For reasons too complicated to explain, I ended up in Singapore without a guide book so Glen and I walked about a block and caught the 72 bus to Hougang Mall (not to be confused with Hougang One Mall across the street from our apartment).  We rode on a double Decker both directions. On the way back we rode on the top in the very front.  I told Glen it was like  riding in the bubble in the front car on the Disneyland monorail, except the driver was downstairs instead of in "the bubble" with us.  We had a great view.  The name of the book store was "Popular Bookstore" and popular it must be as  there are something like 30 or 40 in Singapore.  Cars cost over $100,000 to buy, licence maintain and park and thousands more per year  so there are a lot of bicycles around.  Here is something I've never seen, a double Decker bike rack!  It was a beautiful but compact 4 story mall and we found the book I needed.
