Singapore February-March 2016

My sister and Frances and I decided to go to Singapore to visit her son, my nephew Reid, her three grand children, his newlywed wife and extended family.  We left on Feb 22, 2016 and survived a 21 hour flight.. Here is the housing development block AKA a neighborhood (Hougang 9) Reid lives in, our first meal at the Hougang Hawker center and the hipster dude who serves up chicken and rice.  I'm really enjoying the fact that the street food in Singapore is safe cheap and delicious.  The two reasons it is safe is that all water in Singapore is treated and safe to drink and the street food vendors have been rounded up into "hawker centers" where they can be regulated, inspected and probably taxed.  Every neigborhood has its own Hawker center, some are located in malls, some are not.
