Singapore..."and the sign said"

Here are a few interesting signs I've seen. I'm not sure what a demerit is.  When I find out I will let you know. The last one is not a sign but a "sign of the times" in Singapore. Here is the customs declaration my sister and I had to fill out.  On the right it says "welcome to Singapore and on the left "we'll kill you if you bring in drugs".  I was hoping my month supply of blood pressure medicines would not be on the "bad list". :)

Here are a few of the  rules for the MRT (subway)

There are tons of tailors in China Town trying to sell you cheap suits.   I saw where President Bill Clinton buys his cheap suits!

Wow, MacDonalds sells salmon with paella across the alley from where I am staying!

A sign I saw in China Town.

Singapore is serious about fighting mosquitoes.  The government is allowed to ENTER YOUR HOUSE or apartment to look for possible mosquito breeding grounds.  The possible places are discussed on this poster.  An acquaintance of a friend here got fined $SD 200.00 ($140.00 American) for having some water in a mop bucket in the bath room.  Well, OK apparently there were some mosquito larvae in the bucket, but still.

I have seen several signs advertising abacus classes.  If you don't know what that is, Google it.

A street in China Town.  Is there really a street in Singapore   named after the world's best boxer formally known as  Cassius Clay!!?? :)

A sign and box of beautiful pieces of brocade cloth at a Hindu temple in Little India for people to use to "cover up" after washing their feet but before entering the temple.

When I saw this sign in China Town I moved my
wallet to my front pocket. Yes, that IS a
Hindu temple in China Town in the back ground.  It is  the
Sri Mariamman Temple.

I'm not exactly sure what they sell there, but the jewelry
is 70%  off.
 OSHA approved sign
So the City is saying its OK to enjoy it now, but don't get used toit
Central Haugang Mall Rules, I don't know what touting is, that is why I posted it
This was a clothing store for toddlers.  Based on the name is it for husky kids or what?!
Is a durian like a Kardashian?  If so the sign makes sense.  No, I'm kidding, a durian is a local fruit that has a very bad smell, but apparently tatses OK
I've never seen a bumper sticker like this at home.
This is the car it was on
My grand nephew, Andrei's soccer team played an away game at Loyang Primary school. On the way to the office to check in I saw this sign. I wonder, detention room?
